National Hospice and Palliative Care Month

National Hospice and Palliative Care Month

National Hospice and Palliative Care Month is an opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of hospice and palliative care. Hospice care is a type of health care that focuses on relieving the symptoms and providing support to people who are terminally ill. Palliative care is a type of care that focuses on providing relief from the symptoms and stress of a serious illness.

Hospice and palliative care can help people with a terminal illness to live their remaining time in comfort. It also has a focus on providing dignity.  These types of care can also provide support for family members and loved ones.

Where Can You Receive Hospice and Palliative Care in Temecula

Hospice care can be provided in a variety of settings, including the patient’s home, a nursing home, or a hospital.

Hospice care is usually provided by a team of health care professionals. That team may include doctors, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and trained volunteers. The focus of hospice care is on comfort rather than cure.

The hospice care that Temecula Hospice offers is more than pain management. It is also more than just helping with putting together resources. Temecula Hospice will create a personalized, compassionate care experience to meet the unique needs of each hospice patient.

November is National Hospice and Palliative Care Month

Throughout the month of November, Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE®) will be joining forces with other organizations to show their communities how essential hospice and palliative care are. There will also be various events held throughout the month in order raise awareness about these two topics.

In November, we honor those people.  We honor the nurses, home care aides, therapists, and social workers who provide remarkable care for patients and their families. Furthermore, these caregivers play an essential role in our health care system.  They also play an essential role in homes across America. In order to recognize their efforts, we invite all Americans to celebrate.  Join us during National Hospice and Palliative Care Month by commemorating the power of caring both at home and in their local communities.
